Since the discovery of the first Grey's Anatomy soundtrack and non-Top 40 radio in seventh grade, music has been a special part of my life. This has manifested into making mix CDs (when CDs were still a thing) and finding the perfect song to accompany a video. I wanted to pick and post a song of the day, but I know myself, so when I created this project, I added the "-ish". Each volume is finished when the 365th song is added. I post additions on my instagram story when I remember that it’s a thing.
I discover a lot of my music from my Discover Weekly playlist these days, but I also try to keep up with the local music scene. I generally fail at the latter.

It’s interesting to go back through these playlists, because I can pinpoint the time in my life I added the song and why it struck me hard enough to add it. The person I associate it with. The feelings I had.
Honestly, not all of the songs are good for that reason. Nostalgia and the story behind it can skew things like that.
I’m looking at you, “When You Say You Love Me” by Josh Groban.
According to last.fm, my most listened-to genres are Indie, Rock, Indie rock (because apparently that is a different thing), Singer-songwriter, and Folk. Country has snuck in there, too, and I’m blaming it entirely on Kacey Musgraves.
