Buddy the Cardinal

Happy New Year from Buddy.

Reflecting on the past year was a good practice the past couple days. I've been feeling pretty low lately (personally dubbed a Pissy Teenager™) because of reasons the internet doesn't need to know, because those aren't stories that are only mine to tell. It's a weird mixture of recognizing the feelings, knowing they're not forever, and allowing myself to feel them. It's okay. It's just a season.

I did quite a bit this past year. Traveled, made big life changes, and put myself out there. While it's ending on more of a low note, looking back makes me feel proud. It's giving me the boost I need to continue and build on that energy in 2020. I have a lot of projects I want to do/not let myself give up on.

A highlight has been Buddy the Cardinal. While there's logical explanations for why he hangs out outside my window, I can't help but feel some ✨magic✨universe✨type of way about it. They say Cardinals are spirits of loved ones that visit you. I don't know who he'd be, but that's a nice thought, too. He seems to show up when I need a boost. Even if I just acknowledge that I hear his chirping instead of getting out of bed to see him.

Anyway, that's it for this edition of Oversharing On the Internet. Hope ya feel that New Year brightness, too. 🖤
